SUMMER!!!

Summer is finally on its way! This last Saturday was the most beautiful day so far here in Brasil! The flowers are coming in and the sun is hotter and is staying out longer! On Saturday I went running outside for a little bit and it felt great! We went to the pool which was also amazing! I am still not used to the fact that I will probably be at the pool on Christmas day or at the beach! It will be very weird not to have snow! So maybe I will finally be tan...!!!
I am also dreading when school gets out for good in June, because then Amanda will be leaving me all alone!! I don't know what I am going to do without her here with me!!! But I guess she has to go to college.. :(
It will be a month from today that school gets out for Christmas break and we won't go back for about a month and a half!!! And just to make it even better, Todd, Joy, Cam, and Zack will be HERE!!! I am counting down the days and am so excited!! P.S. Todd, if you eat my candy I will kill you! :)

LITTLE 8!!!!

So you are probably wondering what the heck Little 8 is? Well, ITS ABOUT THE BEST THING ON THE PLANET!!! Little 8 is the school soccer tournament for the middle school! We left this last Wednesday and returned on Sunday!! So on Wednesday night we got settled in and then went to bed. The next morning we woke up early and went to breakfast and then got ready for our first game against a school called British! We beat them 4-0 and I scored 3 of the goals! Later on that day we played another school called EARJ. We lost in Penality kicks which stunk and so we were tied for second in our bracket. We all went to bed exhausted. The next morning we woke up early again and played a school called PACA and won 2-1! I scored one goal in that game. Then later on we played the toughest team in the league: Saint Pauls! arrg!! We lost 3-1 but it was a close until the end and then they kinda took over, but I did score a goal there too!! The next day we played EARJ for third and won!! So we got 3rd place and were a little disappointed but happy!
Now the thing that I loved most about Little 8 was where it was! Away from the city!! It was kind of like living in Mueller Park Canyon! (for those of you who don't know what it is, its a canyon in Bountiful!) It was green, gorgeous, and pollution free! I roomed with 7 other friends and we had a blast! It was about 4 hours away from the city, and it was soccer all week long which made it even better!! I have a dilemma. There is another Little 8 for Volleyball that I am thinking of doing but its at the same time as Futsal, (which is another type of soccer) and so I don't know what to do?! HELP! If you have an opinion or advice let me know!

Elder Richard G. Scott!!!

The best part of Brasil yet!!! Elder Scott came to visit our mission!! So me and dad went to go pick him from his hotel in the morning and then brought him to a chapel where all the missionaries in our mission were waiting. We walked in with him and then he shook everyones hands! He taught for about 4 hours and then we had lunch. He is such an amazing teacher, the things he was saying were so clear and simple! I have learned so much!
So after lunch he had a meeting with dad and the zone leaders. After that we hopped in the car and drove to the CTM!! (MTC) He was so nice and he sat in the BACKSEAT with me and Amanda!! I was in the middle and the whole ride i was like"I'm sitting next to an apostle, Oh my Gosh!!!" I was going crazy!! So he played games with us and drew pictures. Then he said" You know, today has been a day full of spiritual counsel. Does anyone have any good jokes?" It was so funny so we told jokes most of the way to the CTM!!
Once we arrived at the CTM, we walked in with Elder Scott and Elder Anderson and sat down. He taught the missionaries there for an hour and a half. This was one of my favorite parts. He asked the missionaries if they had any questions and the thing that impressed me the most was how readily Elder Scott had an answer for them!! His spirit was so strong and I was so honored to be able to spend a day with him!!! When the meeting was over he walked down the stand and waved at us to walk out with him!! I felt like movie star! I saw the jealous eyes of the missionaries as I exited with him!! We said good bye and the day was over. :( This has given me a booster and a new attitude about everything and I am so grateful that I got to meat an apostle of God!!

More Life in Brasil!!

Wow I am really terrible at updating this so I apologize!! Things are pretty chill here in Sao Paulo. There is always a lot going on but its all easy stuff. I can't say the same for my parents. They are constantly running around and are doing an amazing job. The missionaries are great! Its so fun to be around them! One day it had been not the best day, lets just say, and Amanda and I came walking through the door and there were about 20 or so missionaries singing our mission him! I instantly changed moods!

So school is just school so far. Most of my classes are good and they are all pretty easy, although I have been warned that it gets harder. I am on the soccer team for my school which, besides the missionaries, my favorite part about this whole thing! I love my team, and have made so many friends! We always have so much fun together and so its always a blast! Me and one of my really good friends are the team captains! Its really fun to be captain I must say! We haven't lost any of our season games but have tied a few! Unfortunately, in the game we played yesterday I got hurt. I'm not exactly sure what happened or if it is anything major, but it is swollen and I don't think that I will be playing for a few weeks, but who knows! I really hope it gets better!

So I don't think this can really be a blog about me if I don't confess my love for #8 BYU!!!! I am so happy that we are able to watch the games here! It makes life a lot easier! I didn't think I would have been able to survive three years without watching the games! We are amazing and are going to kill them Utes!!! Also I must admit that I am unhealthy addicted to the Office! I am pretty sure it is the funnies tv series in the world! I love Jim and Pam they are so cute! I am a little jealous of Pam though. :) I keep on saying,"If the producers make it so that Pam and Jim break up I will stop watching!" I will probably still watch anyway, but I will be very ticked! Dwight is hilarious also, just the things he says! haha I have decided I am going to have an Office quote every post! This posts is: Dwight and Angela are talking: Dwight says"If Michael organizes some kinda group hug; stand next to me."

Note: I lifted the permissions thing so anyone can see it so if you know of a people who have been trying to see my blog please let them know!! Ate logo!

Rain Rain Go Away!!

It has been pretty rainy the last week. We are hoping it will warm up soon cause we can't swim when its freezing! The electricity keeps on going out at school and at home and Amanda and I had an interesting experience! So the first day of school the electricity went out. I was in health and the ceiling was leaking. (This really surprised me because it is supposed to be one of the best international schools in the world) So as the water was pooring through about 10 spots of the room we were informed that the Math room above us was flooding. I was thinking what a great first day! Wink wink. So then after school was over we were told to go find our driver and she would take us home. Sure enough she never showed. We were with one of our friends who also goes with this driver and so we decided to get another Taxi. It turned out that I was the only one with any money so I got the pleasure of paying. (I did get payed back though) So we were pretty exhausted and were ready to take a nap. The electricity was still out and what we didn't know was that the elevator doesn't work when the electricity is out. There is a service elevator and that works during blackouts but we only had a key to the front door and there are no stairs to the front door only to the back. So we were pretty much locked out. Luckily our friend was generous and invited us to their apartment 12 floors above us. We sat around there for a little while and then finally mom called and we went home! The following days were better and we learned a very valuable lesson. have a key to both doors.

School has Started!

School is really different from what I am used to. I'm usually surrounded my tons of LDS kids and its not like that anymore! They are so nice and I have already made a few really good friends! I will admit really miss all my friends in bountiful. The teachers are really nice and some are funny but others try and fail! Haha, my classes so far are really easy. Everybody told us it was going to be really hard but it hasn't been that way. Hopefully things won't change!
